Pastor Jenny McBride
Jenny is a passionate disciple of Jesus who gets excited about seeing people’s lives changed by Jesus. Her vision is to see a movement of people in Tucson who are devoted followers of Jesus Christ and a voice of hope and healing in the community. Jenny dreams of a church that is open 24 hours a day ministering to God through worship and prayer--and to the community through life transforming ministries. Her passion is coaching people to reach their potential and to do the works of Jesus--like healing and speaking prophetically into people's lives.
Jenny has a BS in medical technology and worked in a hospital laboratory for 20 years before answering God’s call to full-time ministry. She received her Masters of Divinity at Denver Seminary and recently completed a Doctorate of Ministry in Leadership through Andrews University in Michigan. She and her husband Jim moved to the Tucson area in 1996 to pastor Catalina Hills Fellowship, which at the time was a fledgling church without a leader. She remained at CHF for 12 years and then in March 2008 transitioned to Open Heavens Fellowship.
Jenny and Jim have 2 married daughters, Shasta and Kerry; two papillons - Maddie and Mac; one granddaughter, Naomi Elizabeth and one grandson, Myles Michael. Jim is a property manager for a nearby hospital. When time allows, Jenny enjoys reading mysteries, working out at LA Fitness, and exploring new restaurants!
Worship Leader Richard Kopke
Richard is a gifted musician with a passion to lead people into the presence of God. He has been involved with worship since 1975. He appeared on TBN with Jim and Tammy Bakker and was an Angel Award winner for the record album Come as You Are. Rich’s favorite styles of music are jazz, blues, country and contemporary. He plays guitar, banjo, pedal steel guitar and bass and carries within his heart a vision for 24/7 worship and prayer flowing from the church into the streets of Tucson. Rich says,”I believe that music is every bit as important as the spoken word when it comes to reaching people with the good news.”
